The Optimist and The Oyster Bar at The Optimist, chef Ford Fry’s next anticipated concepts on Atlanta’s Westside, is asking future patrons to be a part of the restaurant’s oceanic culture. The soon-to-open eatery is looking for images of guests enjoying fun in the sun and the sea. TREND OF THE MONTH

Atlanta Food Truck Park & Market: The city’s first permanent street food park will host a variety of the city’s food trucks seven-days-a-week for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late-night noshing on a three-acre space located at 1850 Howell Mill Road. A number of outdoor activities will be available to guests along with a live music series held weekly on Thursday evenings. In addition to the fare and entertainment, the park will feature a weekly farmers market every Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., showcasing local farmers and artisans.
